The SIUC Police Department Records Division is responsible for processing and maintenance of all police incident, arrest, accident, and service reports generated by the patrol and investigations divisions.

Crime statistics are compiled and reported on a monthly basis to the Illinois State Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, in compliance with state and federal mandates.  Additionally, crime statistics specific to the university community and jurisdiction are compiled and disseminated in compliance with the Jeanne Clery Act.

Services provided by the Records Division include:
Security Pass Program

  • Issuance of passes for authorized access and utilization of building(s) after normal business hours
  • Requires written requests from departmental chair person or designate

Fingerprinting

  • Monday thru Friday 8 A.M-4 P.M.
  • Fee
  • Must provide photo identification

Background Checks

  • Conducted for official purposes upon written requests by law enforcement and judicial agencies
  • Conducted for employment purposes upon written request accompanied by signed authorization/release of information form

Information Requests

  • Statistical Data-limited to university jurisdiction
  • Upon request
