Loss of Utilities

For Utility Failures under normal circumstances please notify the Facilities Operations Center (FOC) of Plant and Service Operations at 453-6769.

Housing residents should attempt to notify their Resident Assistant and/or Head Resident prior to calling FOC.

If the loss of utility service is suspicious in nature, call 911 immediately.

If you discover a gas leak:

• Cease all operations
• Call Public Safety (911) or 453-DPS1 (3771).
• Evacuate the area.
• Do not switch lights or electrical equipment on or off. Electrical arcing can trigger an explosion.
• Do not allow anyone to smoke near the area.

If you are notified of a gas leak in your area:

• Begin building evacuation plan. See EVACUATION link.
